Meet Sharon Corcoran, Our Founder and Artisan
Corks and Bubbles is the creator and distributor of truly one-of-a kind bath and body products. The company’s name epitomizes the commitment to passion and love for soap making; coupled with the desire to deliver a quality product.
I began my venture to honour her; my mother Ada Elizabeth, it is through a fulfilment of a promise that Corks and Bubbles was created. It was that promise that brought me on my journey to finding my passion for soaping.
Corks and Bubbles specializes in cold process soaps. All the products are handcrafted. They are made from scratch and in small batches where there is an opportunity to pay the upmost attention to detail. We are vegan based, paraben free, sls free, phthalates free which are not only soft on skin; but on the environment. We are always creating and also offer a compliment of other bath and body products such as luxurious bath bombs, anhydrous body butters, foaming shaving soaps, with more amazing products on the horizon, because we can’t forget about our Pawfect furry little friends.
Soaping is truly magical. This skillful form of art is my rock; it feeds my soul. I have a deep effervescent desire bubbling up inside of me; it’s that need to create. I want to create unique one-of-a-kind bouquets of goodness; ones that look and feel different, ones with a delicate aroma and hues finishes much like woven fabrics. In my creations, I want to be authentic and true to my own creativity and still maintain that sense of organic playfulness. Simplicity in life is my preference; at the same time, I lean on many stylistic elements of design and colour for my creations. My deepest love is people and therefore contact with my customer is most important to me. An inside look and walk in their shoes supports my creativity and showing respect and transparency for them, bubbly creations are formed.
All products are registered with Health Canada; as well being a proud member of the Handcrafters Soap and Cosmetic Guild allows me to adhere to the strict quality standards and strongest ethical business practices.
How it started and why it lasts...
From the beginning, Corks and Bubbles has always been about my love for soaping but just as important, is creating it for my customers with “a whole lotta of love” at the end of the spoon. Cold process soaps can be complex but the creations are phenomenal as it delivers soaps that are visually unique, truly one-of-a-kind as every bar is different; even when made in the same loaf.
Ada’s own is called “Amazing Grace”. The first lather left me feeling empowered and confident in my body. I cried as the reminiscence of floral scents lingered and nourished my mind, body and soul. It was that moment that I knew I would make it my destiny to soap in her honour. Amazing Grace – the perfect scent for a perfect woman “How sweet thou art”.
My soaps reflect many stories and experiences in my life; they are created and designed using ingredients and elements that remind me of a person that touched my heart, a draped garment I wore, or a beautiful place I visited. With every bar I am sending you good vibes, peace and tranquility. If I won’t use it on my skin it won’t be sent with the Corks and Bubbles stamp. I stand behind me and won’t compromise the quality of my work for anything.
When I soap, I soap with grace, but at the same time, soap with spunk and dedication and purpose. I believe in taking life lightly, which means that I sometimes come up with ideas that make you want to roll on the floor laughing. Those ironically have been some of my best creations. When I am soap or mingle in the bath bomb playground I am not just making another batch of something just in the name of producing; my desire is to make you feel great when you use my product. Anticipation lurks around soaps as once these beauties are created they are set on the curing rack for a number of weeks before they are shipped to you. These perfectly aged soaps rest until you can behold the scent, colour, shape and beauty but it is worth the wait as they offer a gentler, long lasting bar.
I invite you to indulge me with your life’s journey, dig deep into your archives and share. I love to be inspired and I may one day make soap in honour of you.
At Corks and Bubbles we have great friends and we are proud to say they love our soap and we love them for it!

Stewardship is about being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive as well as sharing those in whatever way we can. It’s about embracing the little moments in the everyday things we do. Giving back is important at Corks and Bubbles we support many community and charitable events both monetarily and through the gift of soap.
We have supported many local organizations and charities namely: Second Harvest, University of Toronto, Cancer Support Centre’s, Women Shelters and many other local charities.
We are never too busy for the little mermaids in this world; thus I support mentorship programming as a Big Sister for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Peel. BBBS provides various mentoring programs for children and youth. I challenge you to find ways to show your stewardship.
